Saturday 8th August, 10am to 4pm.
Kitchen Litho is Fast - like a Go Cart; although sometimes you only get to the first corner and Crash!!! But that first stretch was a lot of fun! Kitchen litho is an experimental offshoot of stone and plate lithography. It is a great way to try out some drawing ideas. You may get 5 prints you may get none. But you will have a lot of fun getting there.
Using products commonly found in some kitchens we will be drawing onto aluminium foil. Process it with a Cola drink and print. By the end of the workshop you will have tried at least 3 different Kitchen Lithos and you may have 3 prints.
Due to the thin aluminium film, the surface sometimes tears before you even print. Other times the ink fills in really quickly and sometimes they print perfectly and you get 10 prints. (But not very often)
Group Size 6 participants
Cost: $140 includes use of drawing materials, aluminium foil, inks and paper. Plus a yummy morning tea from the CWA
